DIRECTOR'S PROFILE

Dato' Loy Teik Ngan, age 63, was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company on 2 July 2003. On 1 December 2003, he was appointed as Acting Managing Director and later as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company on 20 February 2004. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada.

The varied exposure in different positions of various industries has given him considerable experience in property development, education, finance and banking, fast food, manufacturing, hospitality, insurance, leisure and timeshare. His entrepreneurial spirit led him as a founder of Leisure Holidays Bhd in 1986.

He is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of MBf Corporation Sdn Bhd. He is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Taylor's Education Sdn Bhd which operates Taylor's University, Taylor's College, Garden International School, Taylor's International School, Australian International School of Malaysia and etc.

He is also the Chairman of Holidays Tour and Travel Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of travel services in Malaysia.

Ms Angelina Sahaya Mary, age 55, was appointed as an Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 29 March 2021.

She started her career in MBf Management Sdn Bhd in 1989 and later became a Chief Operating Officer of Summerset Resort Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Leisure Holidays Bhd which itself a subsidiary of the Company in 2004 till 2009 . Since then, she has joined TEG Assets Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Taylor’s Education Group as the Chief Operating Officer responsible for the Taylor’s Group properties and student accommodation businesses with full financial accountability. In her over 30 years of professional working experience, she has had exposure in various industries such as leisure and hospitality, property development, asset management and ancillary services in the education industry. She has held leadership roles in a diverse functions which include sales and marketing, customer relationship management, public relationship, project management, facilities management and business operations, with a proven track record in conceptualizing and executing business turnaround plan, new business segment startup, brand and market positioning, and strategy planning. She holds an Executive MBA from Asia Metropolitan University.
